It can be reduced by hydrogen at 70°C. It is insoluble in water, acid and aqua regia, but soluble in methanol and cyanide solution. Decompose by heating in concentrated acid (nitric acid, sulfuric acid). It can interact with metals such as sodium, aluminum, magnesium and iron when heated.
